Brave with Suede: My Lived-In Shoes

I admit… I put my shoes through it. I don’t understand people not wanting to dirty or crease their shoes. I love how worn my shoes are. I stress walk in my busted boots, loafers, heels, and ballet flats. My shoe of choice lately has been my suede fringe mid-calf boots. Where I go, suede comes with.
I throw my fringe boots on like they're dirty tennis shoes. I pay no mind to the rain, upkeep, and am a little too casual about wearing suede in Texas heat. My sister called me out and said I’m “brave with suede.” What I really am is stupid with suede. There is no question that my shoes are well-worn and well-loved.

Impractical footwear choices are my guilty pleasure. They put a pep in my step. If ever needing a pick-me-up, I take them on a walk. Recently, I have been obsessed with the sensation my boots bring me. The fringes bashing together sound heavy, but my steps feel light and airy. With shoes this cute, that make me feel this good, why would I not take them along through thick and thin???
I find a great deal of comfort in what’s lived in. I find made beds and uncreased shoes sterile and robotic. My shoes are my partners in crime. Where I go, they go. And if I go down, they go down with me.
